Listen to the Fridge

Things were getting hectic, so it was time to slow things down, way down. Way, way down. Like Sun O))), you know? (Here they are on YouTube if you don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Turn this way up so the windows rattle. It’s a drone/doom metal song about an evil refrigerator.

Fish Sauce

I dropped a glass bottle of fish sauce on the floor, filling the kitchen with an ungodly stench, and then I felt like rapping.

Thanks for keeping my soul in my body

This is a heartfelt and sincere thank you to everybody who has ever said “bless you” to me after I sneezed.

Never My Day

I did an experiment today, exchanging Mad Libs to generate some song elements (title, lyrics, key, influence, instrument). This is the result.

I can’t get over you (Until you get out from under him)

Earlier I posted on a forum asking for song ideas. A certain rockinrobby gave me this:

Here’s an idea for you, “I can’t get over you till you get out from under him” Probably a country hit…

So here it is, a country hit called “I can’t get over you (Until you get out from under him).” I realized I don’t know much about country other than it’s mostly just pop-music with a twang nowadays, right? I love writing pop songs! So I sang with a twang, used a slide, and did that root-fifth bass strumming thing on my acoustic guitar. Halfway through, I decided I wanted to do some dub reggae stuff, too.

The Amber Lamps

Bring them.

Amber Lamps

I don’t think the circumstances were exactly what I thought they were when I wrote this, which is not to say that I think either guy was in the right.

Elephants Get Wasted Downtown (The Canal)

Earlier I solicited the internet for song ideas. The only one I got was “Elephants Get Wasted Downtown (The Canal)”.

So here it is: Elephants Get Wasted Downtown (The Canal).

Elephants Get Wasted Downtown (The Canal)

Thank you Melissa for singing one of the drinking elephant parts.

Also, this is the first song I’ve recorded in which I’ve used my Korg DS-10 (Nintendo DS).

Oh! No! Wendigo!

The Wendigo is a terrifying monster, and this is my first time using a slide.
